A Web site is a presence on the world wide web. All web sites contain a home page which is the first page that you would see when you arrive at the site. A web site will almost certainly contain more pages other than the home page, these are usualy accessable by clicking on an area on the screen, called a link, that will then take you to another page. There are some web sites that get several million visits a month. The first on-line website appeared in 1991.

Sebuah laman web merupakan sesuatu paparan/persembahan diatas talian. Semua laman web mempunyai satu halaman utama dimana anda akan terlihat apabila melayari satu laman web. Sebuah laman web hampir pasti mempunyai beberapa lagi halaman selain laman utama yang biasanya diakses dengan klik pada kawasan tertentu di skrin, yang dikenali sebagai pautan. Terdapat sesetengah laman web yang menerima berjuta-juta pelawat dalam sebulan. Laman web pertama yang muncul diatas talian ialah pada tahun 1991.
